Meet the team…
Hello! I’m Megan - the brawn behind Bloomin’ Dingo Flowers. I love to be outside, listening to birds, tunes, and audiobooks while I dig stuff up, dig stuff in, and dig my doggo out of kerfuffles.
At large is Kitsu the Dingo - the beauty and brains behind the kerfuffles.
You dig it?
In 2022, I started farming and growing flowers back on the family farm as a way to cope with grief, providing my hands with work and my soul with hope. Growing flowers has turned into a little bit of an obsession, and I'm excited to share the joy, blooms, and experience with you.
Bloomin’ Dingo Farms is a small operation located about 100km southwest of Edmonton near Breton. I manage most of the work myself on a repurposed 1/2 acre of the farm, using mostly hand tools. Most of the flowers grown here are annuals started inside from seed between January through May and a growing collection of perennials. My family supports me whenever possible, and our little dingo offers moral support, mindfulness, and mascot services, along with varmint chasing, hole digging, and spontaneous yoga demonstrations.
I grow seasonal flowers using sustainable practices and season extension methods. My goal is to share the ephemeral joy of ultra-fresh flowers with fellow nature and beauty lovers. By supporting our farm, you are backing a local, sustainably-minded operation that embraces all aspects of life—the good, the unexpected, and the crawly.
We do not use pesticides, herbicides, or other commercially manufactured fertilizers on our plants or soil. We are dedicated to building and supporting the natural local ecosystems to ensure beauty today and for the future. This means you and your loved ones can enjoy a touch of nature without worrying about harm to yourselves or the environment. You can learn more about the specifics here on the blog.
